General Tsao’s Shrimp with Snow Peas & Jasmine Rice, CN

Ingredients
Preparation
  • 240 each Whole Grain Shrimp Poppers
  • 10 cups White Rice
  • ¼ cup Light Vegetable Oil
  • 4 lbs Snow Peas
  • 2 lbs Bell Peppers, sliced
  • 1 quart Prepared General Tsao’s Sauce
  1. Prepare the white rice according to the package instructions.
  2. CONVECTION OVEN: Place oven rack in the center of the oven. Preheat oven to 375°F. Place frozen shrimp in a single layer on a shallow baking pan. Bake for 5-7 minutes. CONVENTIONAL OVEN: Place oven rack in the center of the oven. Preheat oven to 450°F. Place frozen shrimp in a single layer on a shallow baking pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  3. Separately, in a large sauté pan or rondeaux, preheat the vegetable oil over a medium high setting.
  4. Add the bell peppers and snow peas and cook for approximately 2 minutes just to soften the vegetables lightly.
  5. Separately, in a medium sized pot bring the general Tsao's sauce to a gentle simmer.
  6. To finish, place approximately ¾ cup of fully cooked rice in the center of a plate. Top with 3 ounces of sautéed veggies, about 8 each fully cooked shrimp and drizzle with approximately 1 ounce of warmed general Tsao's sauce.
