General Tsao’s Shrimp with Snow Peas & Jasmine Rice, CN

Preparation
- 240 each Whole Grain Shrimp Poppers
- 10 cups White Rice
- ¼ cup Light Vegetable Oil
- 4 lbs Snow Peas
- 2 lbs Bell Peppers, sliced
- 1 quart Prepared General Tsao’s Sauce
- Prepare the white rice according to the package instructions.
- CONVECTION OVEN: Place oven rack in the center of the oven. Preheat oven to 375°F. Place frozen shrimp in a single layer on a shallow baking pan. Bake for 5-7 minutes. CONVENTIONAL OVEN: Place oven rack in the center of the oven. Preheat oven to 450°F. Place frozen shrimp in a single layer on a shallow baking pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Separately, in a large sauté pan or rondeaux, preheat the vegetable oil over a medium high setting.
- Add the bell peppers and snow peas and cook for approximately 2 minutes just to soften the vegetables lightly.
- Separately, in a medium sized pot bring the general Tsao's sauce to a gentle simmer.
- To finish, place approximately ¾ cup of fully cooked rice in the center of a plate. Top with 3 ounces of sautéed veggies, about 8 each fully cooked shrimp and drizzle with approximately 1 ounce of warmed general Tsao's sauce.
