Quality Procedures

High Liner is committed to providing seafood products of outstanding quality. We achieve this with our comprehensive and continuous quality control measures. All High Liner products must pass through strict quality control procedures including:
- Product quality of raw material, cuts and moisture levels
- Product taste, texture, appearance
- Labeling checks to ensure we are continuously meeting our high quality specifications
- Package weight verification according to Canadian weights and measures regulations
- Coding procedures to ensure complete traceability
- Regular sensory evaluation
Our products are always produced in plants with modern quality programs.
Results of all testing is recorded in a comprehensive database, which provides us with a solid history of product integrity and a comprehensive tracking system. At High Liner, we have implemented an ‘Enhanced Quality Management Program for Importers’ (QMPI) with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
To ensure the highest standards of integrity and objective results, we are also audited by third party food experts. They also provide us with in-depth information on everything ranging from nutritional analysis to environmental sustainability concerns. It is through these audits that we are able to maintain a high degree of preparedness so we can better respond to your needs in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
